 About Divine Surf Design
If you surf, you're one of the luckiest people on the
planet. You're only a speck of the 0.1 percent of the
Earth's population who surf. Don't take it for
granted. Thank God You Surf -- whatever that means to
you, whether it's a prayer to Yahweh, Jesus, Buddha,
Allah, Vishnu, a cosmic spiritual force representing
the oneness of the universe, or some guy named Earl.
If you surf, maybe you're blessed with good karma in
this life. Or maybe it's just all a game of chance, a
cosmic coin toss. You call it: heads or tails...
...Heads: you're one of nearly 30 million modern-day
slaves. There are more slaves today than were seized
from Africa in four centuries of the trans-Atlantic
slave trade. Or you could be a sweatshop factory
worker, a Mexican day-laborer, or landlocked living in
Afghanistan.
Tails: Swell's up. You call in sick from your job to pursue one of the most gratifying and
spiritually-connected activities known to man. You
straddle the line between succumbing to the wrath of
Poseidon's pounding nectar and successfully mastering
his energy, flowing in an aquatic dance, surging with
bliss going down the line of a wave that traveled
thousands of miles to get to you.
Thank God you won that coin toss!
The Divine Surf Design clothing line was created to
spread a positive message: count your blessings and
honor whatever forces put you in the most fortunate
position of being a surfer. DSD would like to give
back to the surfing community by donating a portion of
the proceeds to surf charities.
